What a lot of people dream to do, they did for 23 years in a roll, go to Bahamas by boat. Go to a beautiful tourism destination, in a beach with blue water, far from all the troubles, far from everything. Have a chance to swim with beautiful ocean creatures every day in warm and calm waters. “-What we gonna do today? Go take a walk on the beach or go snorkeling?” Those were the big questions of the day!

Cherylle and Skip Hird are passionate for boats. They always had a home, but they were never there. Their 52 feet boat took them away, toward their dream. The most challenge is to have a lifestyle that let you do this adventure time and they could. Working part time, making enough money to live, have youth, health and love. Anything else? Yes: choose to be happy.  And they choose. This to me looks like chasing the wonderful life in a perfect time of life. As we know, the life has a cycle and you have to do what you are passionate for, in a right time of your life to be able to enjoy it and have the best memories.

Bads and goods happen, but it can be better in a paradise place. Bad weather happens, but if you “take your time” and “have no schedules”, like they said, you will be good. No hurry was their secret to never be cachet in a bad situation. Training to be patient is one of the lessons for sailing boaters. Plan the trip, have enough provisions in the boat, look at the weather before go, learn how to eat between food in a can and fresh fish or lobster are big tips from the experienced boaters like them.

Cherylle and Skip Hird are now living in our neighborhood in North Carolina, USA, and they let me wrote about their story here. We wish them much more good moments in life. Keep chasing wonderful!

 O que muitas pessoas sonham em fazer, eles fizeram por 23 anos seguidos, ir para Bahamas de barco. Ir para uma bela destinação turística, numa praia com águas azuis, longe de problemas, longe de tudo. Ter a chance de mergulhar com lindos animais marinhos todos os dias em águas calmas e quentes. “- O que vamos fazer hoje? Caminhar na praia ou fazer um mergulho?” Essas eram as grandes perguntas do dia!

Cherylee e Skip Hird são apaixonados por barcos. Eles sempre tiveram uma casa, mas eles nunca estavam lá. O barco veleiro de 52 pés (bem grande) os tirou de casa e os levou em direção ao sonho deles. O mais desafiador é ter um estilo de vida que lhe permita ter esse tempo de aventuras e eles tinham. Trabalhar parte do tempo, ter dinheiro suficiente para viver, ter juventude, saúde e amor. Algo mais? Sim: escolher ser feliz. E eles escolheram. Isso para mim é ir atrás de uma vida maravilhosa no momento perfeito da vida. Como nós sabemos, a vida tem um ciclo e você precisa fazer aquilo que é apaixonado, no tempo certo de sua vida para poder aproveitar bem e ter as melhores lembranças.

Coisas boas e ruins acontecem, mas tudo fica melhor se você está num paraíso. Um mau tempo pode acontecer (tempestades no mar), mas se você tiver paciência, como eles disseram “take your time” (tenha tempo) e “sem compromissos”(agenda livre), você vai ficar bem. Sem pressa foi o conselho que deram para nunca ser pego num mau tempo. Treinar-se para ser paciente é uma das lições para ser um navegador de barcos à vela. Planejar bem a viagem, ter mantimentos suficientes no barco, checar as condições do tempo antes de navegar, aprender como comer entre comida enlatada e peixe ou lagosta fresca são dicas valiosas de navegadores experientes como eles.
